You'll collaborate closely with third-party suppliers, providing recommendations on enhancements, monitoring performance, and supporting maintenance of deployed solutions. Accountabilities

  • Develop technical expertise and share knowledge with project and service teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Enterprise IT Management Tools & Systems.
  • Develop a well-defined plan to enable and improve the technology management across the service teams.
  • Develop a clear plan to improve and strengthen capabilities within the IT department to increase the value derived from technology.
  • Provide support in reviewing technical designs and ensuring alignment to the AZ Architecture Roadmap, Information Services Strategy, High-Level Designs, as well as regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Drive the preparation of cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection, and evaluation of proposals.
  • Drive infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with the target benefits and value expected.
  • Drive the build, development, configuration, and documentation of infrastructure components.
  • Gather and leverage management reporting information on existing infrastructure solutions and services.
  • Perform maintenance and support activities, routine analysis, and evaluation on resource requirements vital to maintain and/or expand service levels, on-call as vital, embedding support in operations as per AZ IT strategy.
  • Support investigations of problems within existing solutions using ITIL principles.
  • Leverage the capability to identify and propose innovative solutions to improve service performance.
  • Direct involvement in configuring, managing, and resolving issues related to the technology while serving as the technology SME.
  • Vendor & platform stewardship in line with AZ standards including supplier management for the SAAS and component services of the technology.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Relevant qualifications/experience in infrastructure tooling; notably Nagios and similar technologies
  • Evidence of designing, implementation, and integration of innovative infrastructure management system and services
  • Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good eye for business
  • Proven experience of being a great partner with 3rd party suppliers
  • Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Superb communication, facilitation, and collaborator engagement skills
  • Familiarity with working in an international, multi-time zone support environment
  • Good communication skills supporting joint working with geographically remote colleagues
  • Consistent track record of designing, engineering, and supporting enterprise management and supervising tooling
  • Design and develop tools/applications integration solutions
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
  • Demonstrate strong cyber security awareness in the application of service and technology management
  • Demonstrated strong industry experience and effective leadership in **crafting** technology roadmaps with external partners

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Well versed in ITIL practices and process
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management Processes
  • Background in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
  • Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
  • Experience in working with IT Infrastructure Management Tools, APIs & Integration
  • Experience in scripting and related languages like JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, etc.
  • Experience working to and with lean principles and processes for example kaizen, genba and tier metric management / six sigma
  • Experience with Observability technologies such as Splunk
  • Experience with endpoint management tooling notably Tanium
